Word from my agency

On January 29, I received this email from my agency (FOI)

Hello everyone,

We will be shipping out your dossiers to China, back through your respective provincial ministries (for ON-- directly from us), whereby they will be sent off for logging in to China.

We will be preparing a package and a letter listing this information. The package will likely be completed this weekend. In it, you will find documents from us, and any documents that will be returned to you.

As you are aware, the Waiting Child program is in the midst of changes. Currently, the CCAA has been instructing agencies to hold onto files, and submit the files, once the family is matched, either by the CCAA, or by FOI. While the CCAA has been given your name, along with the conditions that you are approved for, it is not entirely clear at this time whether this name submission constitutes a Log-in date. Considering the upcoming changes for May 1, 2007, and considering the length of time documents are considered valid (12 months for the CCAA, upon receipt of documents), we felt it prudent to submit your dossier to the CCAA. It is our expectation that this will result in a log-in date prior to the new regulations, and ensuring that your documents would not “expire” in the meantime.

Congratulations to all of you.

Have a wonderful week.

So I will finally have a DTC date and LID - eventually! :)

Then yesterday, Jan. 30, I received email notice from Canada Post that FOI is shipping an info packet via XpressPost - I think that should be here tomorrow.
